France reached the Semi-finals defeating one of the favorites, England, in the Quarterfinals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Aurelien Tchouameni scored a stunning goal in the 17th minute and took the lead in the game. France dominated the first half of the game with a lead of 1:0.
England equalized the lead with a Penalty goal by Harry Kane in the 54th minute. Olivier Giroud scored the decider goal in the 78th minute and booked their seat in the Semis at the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup. France has reached the World Cup semi-final for the seventh time.
This is the seventh time England has been eliminated from the quarter-final stages of the World Cup, more than any other side in the competition's history.
