David Gonzalez Giraldo or simply known as David Gonzalez is a professional football player who plays as a goalkeeper for Colombia National Team and Colombian football club, Independiente Medellin wearing number 22 jersey.
He has played for several British football clubs such as Manchester City, Leeds United, Aberdeen etc and several Colombian professional football clubs. He made his debut for the Colombian national team in 2005.

He began his began his career with Colombian football club, Independiente Medellin in 2002 and becoming the youngest goalkeeper to play in the Colombian football league.
David Gonzalez was then transferred to clubs such as Deportivo Cali, Caykur Rizespor, Huracan and signed with English Premier League club, Manchester City FC which had players like Spanish midfielder David Silva and Italian forward, Mario Balotelli in January 2010.
He was selected as the first choice goalkeeper after 2010/11 season and was transfer to Leeds United as a loan in 2011.
David was the third preferred goalkeeper after Kasper Schmeichel and Shane Higgs and after only two appearances for Leeds was transferred and signed a six-month loan deal with Scottish Premier League, Aberdeen on 29 June 2011.
He was the first choice goalkeeper for Aberdeen and made his debut against St Johnstone.
After parting ways with Manchester City, he joined briefly with English clubs like Brighton & Hove Albion and Barnsley in 2012.
