Cliff Avril says Seahawks Began Questioning Coach Pete and Staff After Super Bowl Loss American Football

The Seattle Seahawks were just a yard away from the becoming the back-to-back champions but, they lost and created a doubt into their player's mind.

It was the closing moments of the Super Bowl XLIX when the Seahawks were 1 yard from becoming the champions. But, an interception from the New England Patriots cost them the title.

A former defensive end of the team, Cliff Avril, who is with them since 2013 until he was released this season, revealed what the other players thought about the coach's ideas and play styles during The Dave Dameshek Football Program podcast this week.

According to him, if the team had won the Super Bowl, they would have won another one consecutively and work on what the coach Pete Carroll was saying instead of doing just the opposite.

After their loss to the Patriots, the team started doubting the coach and questioned his tactics far more often. They were close to being the champions for a consecutive second time but their loss demotivated the team even if Carroll took the blame.

Avril had been with the team for around 5 years but, he was released on May 4 due to a failed physical. He had suffered a neck injury in October conjuring up a doubt in his football future. The footballer currently remains as a free agent.
