Grew up in Steinbrunn, Austria, Bernhard Raimann started playing American football at his fourteen for the Vienna Vikings' youth team.
Further, he enrolled at Ballsportgymnasium Wien and then transferred to Delton-Kellogg High School in Delton, Michigan as an exchange student for his junior year.
After the year, he returned to Austria and completed his compulsory service in the Austrian military, upon graduation from Ballsportgymnasium Wien.
Raimann signed to Central Michigan University for his collegiate career.
As a freshman, he appeared in all 12 games, starting four. He recorded 10 catches for 88 yards. Further, he had three catches 26 yards.
The following season, Raimann played all 4 games, starting seven. He caught 10 passes for 76 yards. As a sophomore, he earned Academic All-MAC honors.
From tight end to left tackle, he made a smooth transition coming to the junior year. That season, he played all six games, during its COVID-19-shortened 2020 season. He was named All-MAC fourth team by Phil Steele and honored with All-MAC from Pro Football Focus. He earned Academic All-MAC honors.
