Barkevious Mingo is an American football player who plays an outside linebacker and is currently a free agent. Finished his collegiate career at  Louisiana State University where he forego his senior year. He was picked by the Cleveland Browns in the first round with the sixth overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. NFL Career (Trade, Stats, Contract & Signing Bonus)

In the 2013 NFL Draft, Mingo was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the first round with the sixth overall pick, becoming the third defensive end to be selected in the draft following  Dion Jordan and Ezekiel Ansah.

On 21st July 2013, he signed a four-year  $16.34 million contract that included a signing bonus of $10.26 million with the Cleveland Browns. 

Mingo was placed as an outside linebacker and competed against Jabaal Sheard for a starting role throughout training camp. 

After missing the season-opener due to a bruised lung, Mingo made his professional regular-season debut on 15th September 2013 and recorded two solo tackles, one pass deflection.

In Week 2, he made his first career sack during their 14-6 loss at the Baltimore Ravens. He concluded the season playing 15 games and three starts, recording 42 combined tackles (39 solos), a career-high five sacks, and four pass deflections. 

The following season, he played 5 games and 11 starts with 42 combined tackles (26 solos), three pass deflections, and two sacks. 

In the 2015 season, Mingo saw 24 combined tackles (15 solos), four pass deflections, and one interception in 16 games and two starts. 

On 25th August 2016, Mingo was traded to the New England Patriots. 

On 9th March 2017, Mingo joined Indianapolis Colts, signing a $2 million contract that includes a signing bonus of $500,000. In Week 16, he had a season-high eight solo tackles and made one sack during a 23-16 loss at the Baltimore Ravens. He concluded the season playing 47 combined tackles (35 solos), two pass deflections, and two sacks in 16 games and six starts.

On 16th March 2018, Mingo signed a two-year contract with the Seattle Seahawks worth $6.80 million that includes $3.20 million guaranteed and a signing bonus of $2.20 million. That season, he played 16 games starting 14 of them, and had a career-high 48 combined tackles (37 solos), two forced fumbles, a pass deflection, and one sack.

On 31st August 2019, he was traded to the Houston Texans along with Jacob Martin and a 2020 third-round pick to the Houston Texans for Jadeveon Clowney

On 3rd April 2020, Mino signed to the Chicago Bears for a one-year, $1.187 million contract. 
On 25t March 2021, he moved to the Atlanta Falcons. On 10th July 2021, his contract was terminated after his arrest (Child Sex Offense Allegation).

On 8th July 2021, Mingo is charged with sexual contact with a child with a second-degree felony allegation which would lead him to 20 years of imprisonment.

He is released after a $25,000 bond. 

His attorney stated, “The allegations out of Tarrant County against my client are completely baseless. Barkevious Mingo is innocent. At this stage, our side has very limited information. What we do know is these allegations are from over two years ago and are completely untrue. Mr. Mingo is the victim of a false claim, and we believe this is motivated by money or some other ulterior motive. We are confident when the truth comes to light, my client will be fully exonerated.
