Ali Maaloul was born on January 1, 1990, in Sfax, Tunisia. He has been very much fond of sports, especially football, since his childhood days. Furthermore, Maaloul holds Tunisian nationality and peaks at a height of 5 feet 9 inches.

Ali Maaloul started his career at the junior level by joining several youth clubs in Tunisia, most notably Tunisian club CS Sfaxien in their youth league.

Ali Maaloul Professional Club Career

After playing at the youth level of CS Sfaxien, Maaloul signed with the senior team on July 1, 2008. He has been a regular player on the team since 2009. Season by season, he began to develop his skill and become the team's top and most reliable Tunisian player.

During the 2014/15 season, Maaloul became the captain of the CS Sfaxien. During 2015/2016 became the top scorer in league with the league as a defender. He created history as no defender in the history of the Tunisian league has that number of goals ever as Maaloul has scored. Maaloul made his international debut in Tunisian colors on July 6, 2013, against Morroco in a friendly match. He represented  Tunisia in the Africa Cup of Nations in the 2015 and 2017 finals.
