Syam Ben Youssef a French-born Tunisian professional football player plays as a center back for both Tunisia National Football Team and Turkish Club Kasimpasa.

Syam Ben Youssef was born in Marseille, France on March 31, 1989. He holds both Tunisian and French nationality as he was born in France to Tunisian parents.

Syam Ben Youssef’s Early Career

Youssef started his football playing career at age of 6 when he joined the youth club of France, US Traminots Marseille. After several seasons with the club, he joined another French Club, SC Bastia in their youth ranks.

Syam Ben Youssef’s Professional Club Career

Syam Ben Youssef joined Bastia in their senior team during 2008/2009 and after only four appearances with the French club, he joined  ES Tunis for two seasons on 12 August 2009 and made his debut against CS Sfaxien on 7 November 2009 and scored his goal for the club.

With the club, he won the CAF Champions League in 2011, Tunisian League 1 during 2009/10 and 2010/11 seasons and Tunisian Cup in 2010/11 season.

After his successful stint with Tunisian club, he played a handful of games for the fifth-tier English club, Leyton Orient.He then moved to Romanian football club, FC Astra Giurgiu, whom he signed for three years. The Romanian club won Cupa Romaniei in the 2013-14 season, Supercupa Romaniei in 2014  and was the  Liga 1 runner-up during 2013/14 seasons.

After his successful stay at Astra Giurgiu, Youssef signed with another Romanian club, SM Caen for three years on 29 June 2015 and played his first match against OGC Nice on 22 August 2015 and scored his first goal against  Troyes AC.

He signed with his current club, Turkish club Kasimpasa SK for three years contract deal on 5 July 2017.

Syam Ben Youssef’s International Career

After representing the Tunisia national football team in the Under 21 teams, Syam Ben Youssef began playing for Tunisia Senior Team from 2010. He was in the squad that played in 2017 Africa Cup of Nation.

He was part of a successful Tunisian team along with player such as  Wahbi Khazri, Naiim Sliti, Yoann Touzghar as well as  Farouk Ben Mustapha were some of the prominent players that took Tunisia to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

During the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification, Youssef scored his first international goal for Tunisia against Mauritania.

Syam Ben Youssef’s Personal Life

As of now, the star Tunisian midfielder is single. It is not sure if he has a girlfriend, wife or is secretly in a relationship.

He seems more relaxed and enjoying life and football at a  moment. The 28-year-old is more focus his career and improving many aspects of his game than being involved in any sort of committed outside sports.
