Starting Pitcher Yu Darvish Placed on Disabled List by Chicago Cubs Baseball

On Saturday, starting pitcher, Yu Darvish of Chicago Cubs was placed on the disabled list for ten days because of his right triceps tendonitis.

Know more about the incident.

This is the second time, the pitcher has been placed on the list as earlier this season, he was on the DL because of flu. During the roster, right-hander Randy Rosario was called by the Cubs to substitute Darvish.

And this time, according to schedule, Darvish was supposed to start on Sunday night against the Giants, but Tyler Chatwood is starting instead.

This is the first year of his $126 million worth six-year contract with the MLA team. However, he seems to be profoundly struggling in the initial year. He has a 1.425 WHIP, 4.95 ERA, a career high of 4.7 walks per nine and 1.3 in eight starts. Moreover, other team members have highly excelled this season, and the team alone leads all National League squads with 3.34 ERA.
