Young and rising footballer Syarhey Chernik gained fame while playing for Junior and senior team of Neman Grodno. He has also played for clubs including BATE Borisov. Currently, he plays as a goalkeeper for AS Nancy.
Syarhey Chernik was born on July 20, 1988, in Grodno, Belarusian SSR and raised by his middle-class parents. He holds a Belarusian nationality and belongs to East Slavic ethnicity.
As an intern, Syarhey Chernik began his career joining the youth team of Neman Grodno in 2005. After playing for four years in junior team, he was promoted to a senior team in 2010 and made his professional debut for the team in Belarusian Premier League, the same year. Later, he left the club in 2013, after 98 appearances.
Syarhey Chernik was transferred to BATE Borisov in a free transfer in 2013. After two years, he left the club, making 65 appearances. He is the member of the team that won Belarusian Premier League champions (2014-2016), Belarusian Cup (2014-2015), and Belarusian Super Cup (2015-2016) etc.
Chernik then signed with AS Nancy with the transfer fee €500 thousand in 2016. So far, he has played 17 matches for the team. Currently, Chernik holds a record for the number of consecutive minutes without conceding a goal Belarusian Premier League (1073), which he made in June 2015.
Syarhey Chernik made his first appearance with his national team on November 15, 2013, against Albania. So far, he has won 15 caps for his national team. His current teammates are Alyaksey Yanushkevich and Syarhey Matsveychyk etc.
Syarhey Chernik is unmarried at the age of 29. Till this date, he has never mentioned any information about his personal detail including childhood, education, girlfriend, dating or wife. He might be dating his girlfriend but has not revealed any details.
