Early Life

Stefan Johansen was born as Stefan Marius Johansen on 8 January 1991. He was born to a Norweign mother Ann-Kristin Johansen as her only child in Vardø, Norway.

Club Career

Born and raised in Vardø, Stefan Johansen moved to Bodø to sign for Bodø/Glimt at the age of 14. He made his official debut for the club on 10 August 2008, when he replaced Jan Derek Sørensen in the 85th minute in a match against Viking. He was in the club for three years making a total of 29 appearances without a goal.

He then made his move to the league's fellow club Strømsgodset on 1 January 2011, and his debut for the club came on 2 February 2011, in a match against Sogndal. His debut official goal for the club came on 16 May 2012, against Fredrikstad. He helped Stromsgodset to win their first league title for 43 years in 2013 and was voted the Midfielder of the Year in the Norwegian league. His two successive seasons at the club ended up with a total of 67 appearances and 8 goals.

Stefan Johansen further made his move to the Scottish professional club Celtic on 15 January 2014, signing to a three-and-a-half-year contract with the club. He made his professional debut for the club on 26 January 2014, in a match against Hibernian. His first goal for Celtic came on 22 March 2014, against St Mirren. Appearing in 73 matches and scoring 12 goals, he ended his career with the club and further moved to England. He signed a three-year deal with Fulham on 26 August 2016 and still plays for the club.

International Career

Stefan Johansen has represented his national side Norway in both junior and senior levels. He made his junior team debut on 8 August 2006, representing Norway's U-15 national team.

His professional international debut came on 14 August 2014, in a match against Sweden scoring a goal. He has won over 366 caps for his national side scoring 3 goals.
