Spanish Giants Real Madrid and Barcelona lost on the same Day for the First Time since 2015 Soccer

Barcelona and Real Madrid both failed to defeat their respective opponent on Wednesday in La Liga. The Spanish Giants were defeated by the mediocre teams both failing to take lead on one another.

Real Madrid could not take advantage of their fierce rival Barca's defeat earlier same day. The Catalans saw the 2-1 loss to Laganas while The Los Blancos were thrived by Sevilla with 3-0 score.

Barcelona took an early lead in the 12th minute with the stunner from Philippe Coutinho, however, they went on to concede two quick goals in 52nd and 53rd minute. Laganas' second goal came from the blunder from Barca's defender Gerard Pique. Real Madrid loanee Oscar Rodriguez made no mistake in the missed pass from the former Spanish international.

On the other side, the close competitor Real Madrid had even the worse result. They faced 3-0 defeat to Sevilla, all of the goals coming on the first half.

These two clubs suffered a loss on the same day for the first time in last four years. They lost on the same day last time on Jan. 4, 2015.
