One of the rising name in the Afghan football, Sayed Mohammad Hashemi currently,  plays for Afghanistan national team and Shaheen Asmayee F.C. as a defender. Since 2015, he is playing for his nation.

Early Life

Sayed Mohammad Hashemi was born on March 2, 1994, in Herat, Afganistan to an Afghan parent and spent a long time of his life in Afganistan.

Club Career

At the beginning of his football career, Sayed Mohammad joined the association football club, Shaheen Asmayee F.C in 2012. While Hashemi was in a team, he played in the Afghan Premier League as a center back. His team won the Afghan Premier League in 2013 and 2014.

Sayed Mohammad Hashemi played with the club for five years. Further, he left the club in 2017 and currently he is a free agent.

International Career

Since 2015, Hashemi played for Afghanistan national team. As of 2017, Hashemi won ten caps and scored one goal for his national team. He represented his national team in AFC Cup, World Cup Qualifying, Asian Games, SAFF Cup.

In his international career, Sayed scored his first goal against Sri Lanka in the 46th minute of the game, putting the Afghan team to lead 1-0 during the first half of SAFF Championship semi-final.
