As reported his current annual salary is $15 million and his cap hit value being $29,727,900 and cap dead value being $127,829,970 which will be $34,187,085 and $34,187,085 respectively on the end of his contract.

Career of Gordon Hayward

Gordon, the Horizon League Player of the Year of 2010 play tennis during his early days, after joining Butler University played basket for the university team. With his impressive gameplay, he was selected to Team USA for the 2009 FIBA Under-19 World Championship in Auckland, New Zealand under Pittsburgh coach Jamie Dixon.

On June 24, 2010, Hayward was selected as the ninth overall pick in the NBA draft by the Utah Jazz. With his 4-year contract, he played for the team and on January 7, 2014, Hayward scored career-high 37 points in a win over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

After being a restricted free agent in 2014 season, he was offered a deal by Charlotte Hornets, where players like Nicolas Batum and Kemba Walker play, but soon he re-signed with Jazz.  

The father of 2 daughters, Hayward, who suffered a fracture of the fourth finger on his left hand on October 7, 2016, later joined  Boston Celtics on July 4, 2017, with a four-year contract. He was also awarded as the NBA All-Star of 2017.

But soon on October 17 of the same year, he suffered an injury in his leg.

He got a fractured tibia and dislocated ankle in his left leg in less than six minutes against  Cleveland Cavaliers. Here is the video of the injury.

Regarding his recovery, he reportedly is getting well as per the statement of his wife and Celtics general manager Danny Ainge. The manager said:

He’s progressing along, he can take the boot off for short periods of time, but yeah, he’s doing really well.
