Roberto Martinez is a well-established Spanish football coach and a former professional player. He has been working as the head coach/manager of the Belgium National team since 2016. Roberto Martinez was born Roberto Martinez Montoliu on July 13, 1973, in Balaguer, Spain. He is the son of Robert Martinez senior and his wife, Amor Montoliu. He played at every level of youth football for the club before moving to Real Zaragoza at 16. Roberto stands five feet and ten inches tall and weighs 77 kg.
Roberto started playing football from a very early age. He played his first competitive game for the club's youth team when he was nine years old. He led them to the promotion from League One as Champios. Martinez then joined Wigan Athletic in 2009, helping the club avoid relegation for three consecutive seasons. At the end of 2013 season, The club got relegated but won the FC Cup. Robertyo worked with Everton from 2014 until 2016 and then Belgium hired him as their national head coach.
