Robert Martin Lee a.k.a. Rob Lee is an English retired footballer. As a player, he had a stint with Charlton Athletic (1983-1992), Newcastle United (992-2002), Derby County (2002-2003), West Ham United (2003-2004), Oldham Athletic (2004), and Wycombe Wanderers (2005-2006). Furthermore, he was capped 21 times by England national team.

Rob Lee spent his youth career playing for Hornchurch (-1981) and Charlton Athletics (1981-1983).
In 1984-85, he established himself in the first team at Charlton Athletic after scoring 10 goals in the 2nd Division. Soon he became a star player at Athletic playing winger and helping Charlton to promotion to the First Division by the end of the 1985-86 season.
He played for the club until he was sold in 1992-93 season to the league leaders, Newcastle United, for a fee of £700,000.
Lee made his debut for Newcastle as a substitute in a 1-0 victory over Peterborough United. At the end of the season, Newcastle was promoted to the Premier League with Lee's 1- goal from 36 games.
Lee's notable game for Newcastle is in the first round against Royal Antwerp, he had a hat-trick as the club won 5–0 in Belgium in their first European game for 17 years.
In the 1994-95 season, Lee scored nine goals from 35 matches and Newcastle finished sixth in the table, although they had topped the league early in the season after winning their first six games.
In 1995, Lee was awarded the Premier League player of the month for November.
In 1997, Lee became the captain of Newcastle, and the club again finished runners-up to Manchester United in the Premier League.
In 2001, Lee won a testimonial, nine years after joining the club, and a crowd of 18,189 turned out as Spanish side Athletic Bilbao won 1–0 at St James' Park. His last goal for Newcastle was over Manchester United in a 4-3 victory.
In 2002, he joined Derby County and played 48 games with 2 goals.
The following year, he switched to West Ham United, where he appeared in 16 games.
He played 38 matches for the Wycombe Wanderers (2005-06).
At the international level, Lee was a team member of the England national football team who played in the 1998 World Cup where he appeared once as a substitute against Colombia.
