Bayern Munich Coach and the CEO believes Alphonso Davies will ‘take care’ of Lionel Messi Soccer

Bundesliga champion Bayern Munich will compete the La Liga runner up FC Barcelona in the quarterfinals of the Champions League on August 14 and the German side seem quite confident ahead of their big game. Bayern's CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge talked to the journalist ahead of the Champions League quarter-final and revealed that the team is ready for the battle.

Talking to Sky Germany, Karl said the team is aware if Lionel Messi's capacity but has trust on their defender Alphonso Davies. He said:

“Alphonso had a great season and was rightly voted Rookie of the Season. Should Messi play on his left side, Alphonso will take care of him. It will be a difficult but interesting task. Davies hasn’t been dribbled past or overrun much this season.”

The German side's coach Hansi Flick also said the team has to play in unity to defend the Argentine in the pre-match press conference.

“It’s not Bayern Munich against Messi, but against Barcelona. Of course, we have thought about how we will play against him. “It is possible that we will play together to counter him as a team. We have to recognize the spaces, put him under pressure, and try to win the one-on-one duels.”

Munchen boss said.

While the odds are on Bundesliga champions' side, the Spanish giant have Messi as the major threat. Who do you think will advance to the semi-finals?
