Morocco has earned their place in the Quarter-finals after a stellar victory over Spain at the Penalty Shoot-outs.
Morocco is the fourth African side to reach the quarter-final of a World Cup tournament, after Cameroon in 1990, Senegal in 2002, and Ghana in 2010.
This is the first time Morocco has reached the quarter-finals of the World Cup. Morocco is undefeated in their last five games in the World Cup and will now play Portugal in the quarter-finals.
Spain dominated the game from the early minutes but could not take advantage of the goal-scoring and taking the lead. None of the team scored in the regular 90 minutes and could not score in the extra 30 minutes.
In the second penalty shoot-out of the season, Morocco stunned the Spanish player and won the shoot-out 3-0. The penalty shoot-out unfolded the same way as between Japan and Croatia.
