Japan vs Croatia: Croatia Win the Game in the Penalties: 4:1, Dominik Livakovic Saves Three Goals Soccer

What a Day for the Croatian Goalkeeper; Livakovic is the national hero at the game against Japan. He becomes the first goalkeeper to save three consecutive penalties in the penalty shootout at Round 16 of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The game ended at 1:1, even after playing for Extra Minutes.

Japan took the lead in the 43rd minute but was leveled shortly in the second half by Croatia. None of the team could double the scoreboard, even in the extra minutes.

Croatia has won both World Cup shootouts, going second both times (both in 2018) - only two teams have won their first three WC shootouts (Argentina and Germany).

Dominik saved three penalties and secured their seat in the Quarterfinals with their three players scoring the goals.
