Hardman went to the University of Georgia and played on both offense and defense for the Bulldogs. He began as a cornerback but changed to wide receiver in his second year. He also helped by returning kicks and punts, and he got recognized for doing well in both roles in the All-SEC honors.

In addition, he also played a crucial role in helping the Chiefs win their first Super Bowl in 50 years, beating the San Francisco 49ers 31-20 in Super Bowl LIV.
