Matthew Francis Szczur, known by his pen name Matt Szczur, is an American professional baseball outfielder. He currently plays for the San Diego Padres of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played for Chicago Cubs from 2014 to 2017 having debuted in MLB in 2014.
He was also a member of Football and Baseball team at Villanova University.

Matt Szczur is married to his wife, Natalie Szuzur on November 21, 2014, after dating for a couple of years. Their marriage ceremony was held in a beautiful church ceremony in Old City, Philadelphia in presence of his family members and closest friends.
Szczur's wife is a young writer and author of eBook short story “Flying Lessons”. She is a former writer and Music Inter at VH1.
She holds a journalism degree from East Carolina University and completed her master degree in journalism from the New York Institute of Technology in Manhattan.
