Early Life & Playing Career

Makenzie was born on September 16, 1991, and grew up in Waco, Texas. She attended Midway High School, where she was a star player and led her team to two state titles. Also, she was a great thrower when she played softball.

In 2010, she joined Baylor's women's basketball team, just like her mother had done. She played in 140 games, earned four letters, scored 614 points, and grabbed 302 boards. Back in 2012, she was on the famous team that went 40-0 and won the national title. Additionally, she was a member of the softball team that made it to the World Series for Women in 2011.

Her bachelor's degree in business management and marketing from Baylor was given to her in 2013. After that, in 2015, she got her master's degree in sport management from Baylor.

Coaching Career

Makenzie's first job as a coach was as the head of the gym and staff at the Baylor Women's Basketball Camp in 2014. She was in charge of the kids and planning their tasks.

In 2015, she started working for Baylor as an assistant head of basketball operations, replacing her mother. Her help was needed for breaking down films, writing scouting reports, hiring, player development, and setting up and running summer camps. Additionally, she assisted with the regular running of the program.

In addition, she was made associate head of basketball operations in 2018 and still holds that job today. She is in charge of the whole program, including the funds, travel, equipment, compliance, and schedule.

As a teacher, she has helped win six Big 12 regular-season titles, five Big 12 tournament titles, and two national titles (in 2019 and 2021).

Makenzie got married to Clayton Wayne Fuller in 2015. Fuller used to play football and baseball professionally for Baylor. Son Kannon Fuller was born in October 2018.

Makenzie Fuller is the daughter of two accomplished athletes. Her mother, Kim Mulkey, is a legendary college basketball coach who has won four NCAA titles and two Olympic gold medals. Her father, Randy Robertson, is a former quarterback who played for Louisiana Tech.

Fuller's parents married in 1987, but their relationship did not last. They divorced in 2006 after 19 years of marriage.

Makenzie' Siblings 

Kramer Robertson is a pro baseball player who plays for the St. Louis Cardinals. He was born in Ruston, Louisiana, and went to Midway High School in Texas. He played college baseball at LSU, where he was a star shortstop and team captain.

Kramer was drafted by the Cardinals in 2017 and has been playing in the minor leagues since then. He has faced some challenges in his baseball career, such as getting hit in the face by a ball in 2016.
