Bol's marriage to Ajok followed Dinka marriage customs, where the groom's family pays cows. In this case, Manute Bol paid 80 cows to Ajok's family. Despite the arranged marriage, they had a happy and loving relationship and were together until Manute Bol's passing in 2010.
