Laurie Blouin's Snowboarding Career

In February 2012, Blouin's made her World Cup debut at Stoneham, Quebec.

In August 2015, she earned her first World Cup podium when she had finished 2nd in slopestyle at the New Zealand Winter Games.  

Blouin came to international attention when she participated in the 2017 FIS World Championship, in Sierra Nevada, Spain. She recorded a 78.00 in the final of the slopestyle event. Moreover, she also finished the first qualification and held 6th position in the final at the Big Air event.

The following year, Blouin went to the 2018 Winter Olympics with a keen passion and dedication. Unfortunately, her anticipations sunk when she crashed hard in training after her snowboard cut a rut and had to be carried off the slope on a stretcher. But despite serious injury, she abled to garner her career with the silver medal behind American Jamie Anderson.

Blouin was placed fourth in the big air competition at the Pyeongchang Olympics where Anna Gasser captured the first position.
