O'Quinn recorded 20 points in the season on 2 December 2016 and 13 rebounds in a 118-114 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. After opting out of the final year of his contract in New York, O'Quinn signed a one-year agreement with the Indiana Pacers On 9 July 2018. His decision brought him $4.5 million, and an increase of $200,000.
