Kim Shin-Wook is a South Korean footballer currently playing for the K League club Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors and South Korea National Team. The 30-year-old striker won 2016 AFC Champions League with his current club Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors.

Early Life and Early Career

Wook was born on April 14, 1988, in Gwacheon, South Korea. The high school attendant of Kwachon High School, Wook started his football career while in his high school in 2004 and played till 2006 as a central defender.

After his graduation, Kim Shin-Wook went to Chungang University in 2007 and played for a season with the college football team before making his entry in the youth system of Ulsan Hyundai FC.

Playing Career

Ulsan Hyundai FC (2009-2016)

In his debut season in 2009, Shin-Wook struggled with his change in position, but later, the South Korean striker made his improvement later and helped the team to win 2012 AFC Champions League. 

While playing for Ulsan Hyundai FC, Kim Shin-Wook scored the total of 81 goals in 215 appearances.

Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors (2016- Present)

In 2016, Kim Shin-Wook signed with Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors on a multi-year deal and till the end of 2016 season, he became the highest paid K League footballer for 2016. Furthermore, in his debut season, the Hyundai Motors also got hands over their second AFC Champions League title.

In 2017, Shin-Wook helped the club to win it's 5th K League title. In his 2 seasons with the club till date, Shin-Wook has recorded 17 goals in 68 appearances.

International Career

Shin-Wook made his International career debut in 2010 with the South Korea National Team. Wook helped the team to win EAFF East Asian Cup for 2 times (2015, 2017).

In 2017, Shin-Wook scored the 2 goals for the national team and contributed in the victory of EAFF E-1title in a 4-1 victory over Japan. He has made a total of 53 International appearances and 11 International goals.

He was named to the South Korean squad in May 2018 for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
