Early Life

Mayne was born on Sep 1, 1959, in Kent, Washington, United States of America. This veteran persona holds an American nationality and is of white ethnicity.

Mayne attended Wenatchee Valley College in Wenatchee, Washington and then graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1982. He received a degree in broadcasting.

At UNLV, Mayne played football for two years and later signed with Seattle Seahawks as a free agent.

Career

Mayne started his professional career as a reporter for KLVX-TV in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Mayne spent seven years, from 1982 to 1989 at KSTW-TV in the Seattle Washington. He resigned from KSTW in 1989.

Mayne picked the job of ESPN in 1994 as a SportsSmash anchor on ESPN2, and then he served as the anchor of the weekend edition of RPM 2Night from 1995 to 1997.

Upon showing essential talents and skills to the network, Mayne served as the co-anchor of the 11 PM SportsCenter along with Dan Patrick.

Later on, Mayne worked on the several assignments of the ESPN network.

In 2011 ESPN.com launched a series video program named Kenny Mayne’s Wider World of Sports. The program focused on Mayne’s trips around the world.

Mayne is a happily living married man. Mayne wife Waggoner is a doctor by profession, their wedding took place in May 1995, and the two have been together ever since. The duo dated for a couple of years before they're married.

Mayne and his wife have two daughters named Riley Hope and Annie. He is a loving husband as well as a supportive and caring father.

Mayne is very proud of his two daughters. He mentioned about his daughters in the book named An Incomplete And Inaccurate History of Sports, which he penned in 2008.

Mayne also knows their father loves towards them and adores his contributions.
