Football Career

In 2019, Josh Doig joined h Hibernian during the summer, following his youth career at  Edinburgh derby rivals Hearts. In February 2020, he signed a contract with Hibernian that is due to run until the summer of 2023 and he was loaned to League Two club Queen's Park for the rest of the 2019–20 season. 

Ahead of the 2020-21 season, he was added to the Hibs first-team squad. On 1st August 2020, he made his Hibernian debut in a 2–1 win against Kilmarnock. He played regularly in the 2020-21 season, and in January 2021 BBC Sports reported that English Premier League clubs and Celtic expressed interest in signing him.

Highlights

On 20 February 2021, he scored his first senior goal in a 2–0 win for Hibs against Hamilton. He then signed an extension deal that would last until 2025. At the end of his breakthrough season with Hibs, he won the SFWA Young Player of the Year award. 

In September 2019, Doig was called in a Scotland U18 squad and played in a 2–1 win against Paraguay. In 2020, he was named for the Scotland U19 squad. Though, he was included in the Scotland U-21 national team but withdraw due to injury.
