Jonas Svensson is a Norwegian footballer who currently plays as a defender for Norway national team and Dutch club AZ Alkmaar. He has also played for many clubs including Verdal, Levanger, and Rosenborg.
Jonas Svensson was born on March 6, 1993, in Verdal, Nord-Trondelag, Norway. He was born to his father, Inge, and mother, Randi Gresseth and grew up with his sibling Synnesve. He is Norwegian by his nationality.
At the beginning of his career, Svensson joined the youth team of Verdal. He then moved to Levanger in 2008. He left the club in 2009 after making 14 appearances with one goal scored.
Jonas Svensson signed a contract with Rosenborg in 2009 and made his debut on March 10, 2011, against Lillestrom. The following year, he made his debut in a league as a backup player for injured Michael Jamtfall against Haugesund.
At the age of 23, Jonas Svensson appeared in over 200 games for the club until April 2016 and became the youngest player for the team beating Per Cijan Skjelbred’s record by 14 days.
