Joseph Edward Lauzon Jr. or famously known as Joe Lauzon is an American professional mixed martial arts fighter who is currently competing under American renowned MMA promotion, Ultimate Fighting Championship in their Lightweight category.
Joe Lauzon is of American nationality. He was born on May 22, 1984, in Brockton, Massachusetts, United States of America. He had an interest in wrestling since his early childhood and switched to martial arts after East Bridgewater High School.
Before he began his training in MMA, he did work as a network administrator and graduated with a bachelor's degree in computer science from the Wentworth Institute of Technology.
He also has a younger brother, Dan Lauzon who is also a professional MMA fighter currently competing at the World Series of Fighting in their Lightweight division.
As his salary is not known and still is under review, his career earning from Ultimate Fighting Championships is around $ 1,930,000. It was also reported that Joe Lauzon earned $ 116,000 which also includes $ 50,000 bonus for his win against Marcin Head.

Before becoming a professional, he had his first amateur fight in 2002 before signing with the American renowned MMA fighting promotion, Ultimate Fighting Championship with a victory over then UFC Lightweight Champion Jens Pulver at the UFC event, UFC 63.
He later went to compete at the UFC reality television show The Ultimate Fighter 5 and later on was expected to take on Hermes Franca in the main event of UFC Fight Night 17 but instead took on Jeremy Stephens.
He won the bout with an armbar in the second and later faced off against Michael Chiesa at UFC Fight Night 50, after a grueling bout, he defeated Chiesa with a TKO in the second round.
The match won the Fight of the Night honors and as of recent took on Chris Gruetzemacher at UFC 223 on April 7, 2018, and lost the match when his corner stopped the match after the second round.

He is married to his spouse, Katie Lauzon. The couple was blessed with a son, Joey Lauzon on Jan 12, 2014.
It was reported that his son suffered from a cancerous disease known as neuroblastoma which was in stage four.
But after several chemotherapy sessions, his son beat and survived cancer and it was revealed that as of July 3, 2014, he is now free of the dangerous disease.
