Jobe Samuel Patrick Bellingham, born on 23 September 2005, is an English professional footballer who currently plays as a midfielder or forward for EFL Championship side Sunderland and the England U21 national team.
Jobe Bellingham's story begins in Stourbridge, West Midlands, where he was born to Denise and Mark Bellingham. His father, a sergeant in the West Midlands Police, also had a knack for finding the back of the net as a prolific goalscorer in non-League football.
Adding a layer of intrigue, Jobe is the younger brother of none other than Real Madrid and England superstar, Jude Bellingham—talk about footballing DNA!
Jobe's professional footballing life began at Birmingham City's youth academy. Already at the tender age of 15, he was ushered into the top league when he appeared on the bench for a 2021–22 EFL Cup match against Colchester United. He was not needed on the pitch that day but it was the start of a great adventure to come. His senior debut was on January 8, 2022, as a second-half substitute for an FA Cup match against Plymouth Argyle, making him Birmingham's second-youngest debutant at the age of 16 years and 107 days.
In July 2022, he was signed by the club on a professional contract, coming on as a substitute from the bench and eventually earning his first start against Sunderland on November 11, 2022. At the end of the 2022–23 season, Jobe had played 22 league games for the Blues.

Jobe's talent has not gone unnoticed on the global stage. Eligible to represent both England and Ireland, he first donned the Three Lions shirt with the England under-16s on June 3, 2021, in an England-friendly victory over Northern Ireland. He has since progressed through the junior teams, representing England at under-17 and under-18 levels and now showing his talent with the England U21 national team.
Jobe Bellingham is a versatile player. Standing at 1.91 m, he can be accommodated in a variety of roles. Though a midfielder, he can also be used as a forward with equal efficacy, offering his team tactical flexibility and a dynamic presence on the pitch.
