Jermaine Kearse never entered the NFL draft but was signed by the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent on April 28, 2012. His first NFL match was on November 4 of the same year playing against the Minnesota Vikings. He made seven appearances for the Seattle in his rookie season of 2012.

It was in 2013 season that Kearse was able to score for the first time in his professional career against Carolina Panthers. Kearse caught his first NFL touchdown pass from Russell Wilson.
