Jasper Weatherby is a rising American professional ice hockey player. He is currently playing in the American Hockey League for the San Jose Sharks. Weatherby made his AHL debut in 2018 after the Sharks drafted him in the fourth round overall 102 picks. 

Jasper Weatherby was born on January 22, 1998, in Portland, Oregon. He is among the two children born to Lucinda Moeglein and her husband, Richard Weatherby. Jasper has a brother named Kevin. Jasper started playing ice hockey from a very early age. He started his youth career in 2012 playing with the CIHA Voyageurs Bantam AAA. In his first with the team, The player appeared in twenty-nine games and scored two goals with seven points per game. The following season, He was promoted to the CIHA Voyageurs Midget AAA team, where Jasper scored six goals and eleven assistants in a season.

In the 2014/15 season, Weatherby moved to Omaha AAA Lancers 15U and had difficulty making it into the first team. The following year, He had a good comeback to the team when he scored nine goals and fourteen assists in the season. Weatherby helped lead the Wenatchee Wild to a BCHL Championship and a berth in the RBC Cup semifinals in his high school.  The player spent his two-season of 2016/17 and 2017/18 with the Wenatchee Wild at the British Columbia Hockey League. 

Jasper played for the University of North Dakota in the 2018 season in thirty-six games. At the end of the season, He earned his first varsity letter. In his sophomore year, Jasper played in thirty-five games and became a real force in the faceoff dot, winning nearly 59 percent (275/467) of his draws. Weatherby was named to the NCHC All-Academic Team and earned the second letter. 

 

For the Junior year, Jasper was named an assistant captain and named to the NCHC All-Academic Team for the second straight season. After the 2020 season, Weatherby listed his name for the 2021 AHL. San Jose Sharks drafted him in the fourth round, overall 102nd pick
