Jared Rhoden was born to his parents on August 27, 1999, in Baldwin, New York. During his junior year in high school, he averaged 19.5 points and 6.7 rebounds per game while leading his team to a Long Island AA Championship and earning Nassau County Player of the Year accolades at Baldwin Senior High School.
He then moved to Our Saviour Lutheran School in The Bronx for his senior year, during which he averaged 29.3 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game to subsequently earn All-USA Today New York First Team honors.
Rhoden had committed to Seton Hall University despite having shoulder surgery before his freshman year. He came off the bench in all 34 of his games, averaging 3.4 points and 2.6 rebounds. During his junior season, he became one of the main players on the team, as he averaged 14.9 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game.
He was named to the Big East All-Tournament Team and scored a career-high 29 points against Ohio State in 2021. As a senior, he started in 30 of 31 games, averaging 15.5 points and 6.7 rebounds, earning First Team All-Big East honors.
After going undrafted in the 2022 NBA Draft, Rhoden joined the Portland Trail Blazers on a deal but was waived. He then signed with the College Park Skyhawks of the NBA G League. On December 26, 2022, he signed a two-way contract with the Detroit Pistons, starting to divide his time between the Pistons and their G League affiliate, the Motor City Cruise.
In July 2023, he signed another two-way contract with the Pistons. He played in the 2023 NBA Summer League and on August 19, 2024, he signed with the Toronto Raptors. On October 19, 2024, he was waived by the Raptors team.
