What a stunning comeback from Japan. They have stunned the euro giants, Germany. Japan won the match 2:0 against Germany for the first time in their history. Group E is also named the Group of Death, and after the game, it will be the toughest team to make it into the Round of Sixteen. Although, Germany had overall control of the game, Japan showed an incredible performance.

In 83rd minute, Takuma Asano scored the second goal for the team and took the lead. Itakura's long ball from a free-kick in his own half is met by Asano, who beats Schlotterbeck with a beauty of a first touch.
