He then won over John Melina at Pure FC 8 - Hull vs. Millsap. On 4th August 2018, he faced his career's first loss against Donny Simpson at XFO 63 - Outdoor War 14 via Submission (Guillotine Choke).
Rebounding from loss, he made his comeback at Pure FC 13 - Pure Fighting Championships 13 where he defeated Cody Garness.
