Jacob Keli is a Kenyan footballer currently plays for "Gor Mahia" with the Jersey number 27.

Early Life

Jacob Keli was born on 12th of August 1991, in Kenya. Regarding his nationality, Keli is a Kenyan, and he belongs to the African ethnicity. Keli had a keen interest in sports since his childhood.  

Club Career

Mathare United

Jacob Keli began his football career by playing for KPL side Mathare United until the end of 2011. For the club, he made six appearances.

Kenya Commercial Bank SC

In the following year, he moved to Kenya Commercial Bank SC, multi-sport club based in Nairobi, which is owned by the Kenya Commercial bank. He was among the exceptional players for 2013 with 17 goals. Moreover, he left KCB for AFC Leopards in 2014.

AFC Leopards

In January 2014, Ger Mahia the Kenyan Premier League champions signed Jacob Keli to AFC Leopard Sport Club, a Kenyan association football club based in Nairobi, for Sh 400,000.

The two-year contract was a massive investment with the hope that he would carry on his imperious form with his new team and became an integral part of the team helping them finish 7th in the 16 league KPL table. He was also the top scorer at AFC Leopards in the 2015 season.

Nkana Red Devils

In 2015, Mutunga announced on his Facebook page that he is no longer interested in turning for the club. As the club faced a huge financial challenge since Kemya Revenue Authority blocked their account over tax arrears, which led the club unable to pay their players.

Further, on 25th of June 2015, he switched to Zambian FC Nkana Red Devils, he had a torrid time in the Zambian League and experienced few games.

Gor Mahia FC

On 8th of January 2016, Keli moved to Gor Mahia FC and made his debut in opposition to Bandari FC in a Dstv Super cup, and the match ended 1-0 favor of Bandari.

Bandari FC

After the end of his contract with Gor Mahia, Jacob Keli signed to Bandari FC.

International Career

Jacob Keli was the part of the team, which won the 2013 CECAFA Senior challenge cup. For the Kenyan national team Harambee Stars, he has 18 caps and has four goals to his credit.
