Isaiah Canaan was born on May 21, 1991, in Biloxi, Mississippi to parents, Sardie Canaan and Nicole Martin. His nationality is American and belongs to the Afro-American Ethnic Group. He lived with his mother in Atlanta and used to attend singing choir in Church while in middle school.

Isaiah led Biloxi High School's Basketball team to the 5A Mississippi State Championship. Canaan went to Murray State University and averaged 10.4 points per game as a freshman. In 2010, he was named Ohio Valley Conference's "Freshman of the Year".

Isaiah Canaan Professional Career

On July 15, 2013, Houston Rockets drafted Isaiah in the 2013 NBA draft, with a rookie scale contract. He scored a career-high of 24 points in November. During that period Canaan suffered from a severe ankle sprain injury.

In February, he was traded to 'Philidelphia 76ers' in exchange for K.J McDaniels. On March 4, 2015, he recorded career high of 31 points and eight 3 pointers.

On July 20, 2016, Canaan signed with Chicago Bulls and in 2016-2017, he appeared in 39 games and averaged 4.6 points. Phoenix Suns called him in December 2017.

Isaiah became the first player in Suns's history to have 15 points in their first two games. Another famous point guard Devin Booker is Canaan's, fellow mate. He re-assigned with Pheonix on August 3, 2018. He had 19 points and five 3-pointers in November.
