George Osahon Osrzehmen Ilenikhena was born in Lagos, Nigeria, on August 16, 2006, but at the tender age of three years, he moved to France and was brought up in Antony. Born into a family that celebrated sports, especially football, his uncles inspired George enough to get into the game.

Ilenikhena moved to Amiens SC in 2021. He instantly burst into life. For the national under-17 team, he scored a staggering 24 goals in the 2021–22 season.
His professional debut came on November 19, 2022; he became the youngest scorer ever in the history of Ligue 2 on January 13, 2023, at just 16 years and 150 days old.
Ilenikhena's transfer to Royal Antwerp in June 2023 came with a price tag of €6 million. His stay with the club did not lack triumphs, as on 13 December 2023, he scored his first Champions League goal against Barcelona, making him the youngest Nigerian scorer in Champions League history.
