The France national team represents France in the international football competitions and is controlled by Fédération Française de Football (FFF). The team is known by the nicknames Les Bleus (The Blues) or Les Tricolores (The Tri-colors).

France has appeared in 14 world cups and is the champion of the 1984 World Cup. The team secured 3rd place in the 1958 World Cup and is also the finalists of the 2006 World Cup.
