Fajr Ibrahim is a Syrian football coach who currently manages the Iraqi football team Al-Minaa, which plays in the Iraqi Premier League. The renowned coach is also a former professional footballer who debuted from Al-Wahada FC in 1979 and was also a member of Syrian U-20 national team and Syrian national team.

Early Life

Fajr Ibrahim was born on 22nd of June 1964, in Damascus, Syria. His birth sign is Cancer. Regarding his nationality, Ibrahim is a Syrian. Since his childhood, Ibrahim was attracted towards sport and in his growing stage, he chose football to be his career.

Playing Career

Club Career

In 1976, Ibrahim began his football career professionally playing in the youth-club of Al-Wahda. In 1996, he was promoted up to the main squad of the club. His notable credit includes while he played for the Al-Wahda is 1993 Syrian Cup and Syrian Super Cup. In 1987 he retired from the football.

National career

In 1981, Ibrahim was the part of Syrian U-20 national team. The following year, he joined Syria national team where he stayed till 1987.

Managerial Career

On 5 August 2006, fajr Ibrahim made his debut as a coach for Syrian national football team. Till March 23, 2008, he managed total 24 matches in which the team won 13 games and lost 6 games with 5 draw games.

Further, he was replaced by Mohammed Kwid but was again called up to coach the team on 13th November 2008. He led the team to the finals of the Nehru Cup” in 2007 and 2009 respectively and left the team on 13th September 2010.

He then moved to Damascus based football club Al-Shorta where he led the team to win 2011-12 “Syrian Premier League”.

After a year with the team, Ibrahim signed a contract with Iraqi professional football club, Duhok which plays in the Iraq Division One. For the native club, he coached 32 leagues.

On 7th January 2015, Ibrahim moved back to his country and again joined Syria national team. This time he managed the national squad in 13 matches.

On 8th September 2017, he signed a contract with Al-Minna and is the coach of the team at current.

53 years old renowned coach Ibrahim has hidden all information regarding his personal life in media, even his relationship status is unknown.
