Egidio Raul Arevalo Rios who is popular as Egidio Arevalo is an Uruguayan professional footballer who currently plays as a midfielder for Liga MX club Veracruz and the Uruguay national team. He started his senior career with the club Paysandu Bella Vista in 2001.

Arevalo was born on January 1, 1982, in Paysandu, Uruguay. He holds the nationality of both Uruguay and Mexico. Born in the early of January, his zodiac sign is Capricorn. As a youth, Rios started his career with his home team Paysandu Bella Vista where he played for one season.

Club Career

Arevalo's junior career started with Paysandú Bella Vista in 2001 where he scored 2 goals in 35 appearances. He then signed to Penarol before moving to Monterrey in 2007. He then played with Danubio in 2008 season and for the 2009 season, he played for San Luis. He made his second stint with club Penarol in 2009 where he scored one goal in 30 appearances.

Arevalo went to play with Mexican club Tijuana in 2011. Arevalo was then loaned to Palermo where he netted two goals in 27 appearances. He was then again loaned to Chicago Fire for the 2013 seasons.

From 2014 to 2016, He played with the Mexican club UANL where he scored only one goal in 38 appearances. He then played as a loan from UANL to Morelia and Atlas until 2016 seasons. Currently, Rios plays for Veracruz. Following he played for Chiapas for one season.

International Career

Arevalo represented his nation Uruguay at the 2010 FIFA World Cup and the 2014 FIFA World Cup. In addition, he won the Copa America in Argentina and chosen as the captain of the national team.
