A Dutch professional footballer David Petrus Wenceslaus Henri Propper popularly known as Davy Propper currently plays for Brighton & Hove Albion as a midfielder wearing a shirt no. 24.

The Twenty-six years footballers began his football journey professionally with Vitesse in 2009. He is also the member of Netherland national football team and has won 8 caps side with his national team till the date.  

Early Life

A native of Amhem, Netherland, Davy Propper was born on 2nd of September 1991 to Peter Propper and Ria Propper. Talking about his nationality, Propper is a Dutch and is of white ethnicity. His birth sign is Virgo.

Club Career

Vitesse

In the year 2009, Davy Propper was promoted to the senior team of Vitesse, signing his very first professional contract. On 17th January 2010, he made his Eredivisie debut for the club against N.E.C at Stadium de Goffert. In the 2009-10 seasons, he made overall 11 appearances for his native club.

In his second season at the club, Propper scored the first goal for Vitesse in an eventual 2-4 loss to Ajax. He stayed 6 years in the club appearing in 134 matches and scored 15 goals.

PSV

On 13th July 2015, Davy Propper moved to PSV, signing a contract for a fee of $4.50 million. On 8th December 2015, he scored the first goal for PSV Eindhoven in the UEFA Championship League against CSKA Moscow.

He scored total 16 goals for the club in his 67 appearances.

Brighton & Hove Albion

On 7th August 2017, Davy Propper signed a 4-year club-record contract with Brighton & Hove Albion which was recently promoted to the Premier League.  Since then, he has made 7 appearances for the club keeping his sheet clear.

International Career

Davy Propper has represented his nation, Netherlands in several international tournaments both in junior and senior levels. He was a part of Netherlands U-19 national team and played in the qualification round for the “2010 UEFA European U-19 Football Championship”. He made his U-19 team debut with U-19 Oranje against Cyprus on 14th November 2009.

As a member of Netherlands U-21 football national team, Propper made 5 appearances and scored a goal for his nation.

On 5th June 2015, Propper made his international team debut in a 3-4 friendly loss against the United States at the Amsterdam Arena. His first international goal came on 3rd September 2017 in a “2018 FIFA World Cup qualification” against Bulgaria.

Davy Propper is in an open relationship with his long-time girlfriend Mandy van Ginkel. The couple is together since 2012. Mandy is the niece of his teammate Marco Van Ginkel and were first introduced to each other in the mid of 2012. Mandy is the graduate of Schoevers in Arnhem and has experience working as a secretary in accountancy.

They have been living together since 2012 and moved to a new house in February 2015.

Further, if we analyze his Instagram account, he has posted many photos with a baby girl whom they call Rocky. Their daughter was born in June 2016.
