Christian Awamy began his career with "Follo football club," a company Norwegian football based in Ski. There he started in division repacing Alexandar Ruud Tveter in the net draw on the field of Sarsborg 08.
Bwamy was a part of the team that reached the final of the Norgesmesterskapet 2010, lost 2-2 in opposition to Stromsgodset, a sports club association Norwegian headquartered in the city of Drammen. But, due to a licensing issue with the club, Follo he left in the second division.
In 2011, Bwamy signed with "Valdres FK," in 2nd division but didn’t make an appearance. Next year, he moved to Fram Larvik, where he made his debut on 14th of April 2012, with the 3-1 win over the Grorud.
After two years with Fram Larvik, Bwamy returned to Follo, in 2nd division. He contributed to the promotion in one division as well as renewed the contract on 16th January 2015, which tied him to the club for a further season. However, the Follo retired again in 2nd division, and he left the team, while his contract date came to an end.

On 23rd of March 2013, Christian Bwamy entered in the Kenya national football team, taking Dennis Oliech into the 1-1 draw in opposition to Nigeria. For the National team, he made total four appearances.
