Chelsea Striker Alvaro Morata Aiming to Score 30 Goals this Season Soccer

After finding a net on the match against Arsenal, Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata has set a target to score at least 30 goals this season.

Morata had a forgetful spell last season with the club scoring just 11 goals in 31 league appearances with the club despite an explosive start scoring 7 in first 8 matches. With the signing of new manager Maurizio Sarri, the former Real Madrid frontman is hopeful to get back into old scoring form.

The Spaniard managed to net the second goal in 3-2 win over Arsenal this weekend.

"I’m very happy because it was three very important points against Arsenal,’ he said following Chelsea’s London derby win. In the Premier League, I think if you win your first five games you’re in the fight because here in every game you can lose or drop points."

Morata said after the match. He believes he lost confidence last season and his performance was also affected by the injuries. But he has earned back his confidence, he claimed.

"For sure I want to score more than 30 goals, but I would prefer to score 15 or 20 and for us to win the Premier League or another big trophy."

Morata hopeful that the club is fit to win the Premier League this season. He has set a target to score more than 30 goals this season with the hope of winning a major trophy with the club.
