Carlos Austin Boozer Jr. known as Carlos Boozer is an American professional basketball player who started his professional career with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He last played for the Guangdong Southern Tigers of the Chinese Basketball Association.
Childhood & Early Life
Boozer was born on November 20, 1981, at a military base in Aschaffenburg, West Germany. He holds a dual citizenship of Germany and United States.
He was raised in Juneau and was passionate about several sports since his childhood. As a child, Boozer played basketball along with his father outside at his local middle school.
High School and College Career
Boozer attended Juneau-Douglas at Juneau Alaska, where he played basketball for his school team.
Upon high school graduation, Boozer was recruited by several top collegiate basketball programs, which include St. John’s and UCLA. He chose to play for the Duke University under the coach Mike Krzyzewski.
In April 2002, Boozer declared for NBA draft, forgoing his final year of college eligibility.
The Cleveland Cavaliers with the 35th overall pick in the 2002 NBA draft selected Boozer. He played with Cavaliers from 2002 to 2004.
Boozer then played with Jazz, from 2004 to 2010. Due to the outstanding performance, he won the Western Conference Player of the Week Award and helps the Jazz to win eleven of their first twelve games.
On July 8, 2010, the Chicago Bulls picked Boozer, where he played from 2010 to 2014. He was paid by Lakers $3.25 million of his $16.8 million salaries.
He scored a season-high 28 points in a loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on February 4, 2015. On July 30, 2016, Boozer agreed on a deal with Guangdong Southern Tigers of the Chinese Basketball Association.
As a member of team USA, Boozer bagged a bronze medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics and gold medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics.

Boozer personal life is not as perfect as his career. He married his long-term girlfriend after having an affair in 2002. However, the things did not work well between them. Upon seven years of their marriage, Boozer filed divorce against his wife in March 2009 and they legally separated on August 27 in Miami-Dade Circuit Court.
Later with the mutual agreement, Boozer and CeCe Boozer again reconciled and celebrated their marriage in 2012. Again, Boozer filed for the divorce in 2014. According to sources, Boozer made payments to her and their three children.
Boozer was reportedly in an affair with the popular actress Michelle Money. His brother Charles is also a basketball player. He played college basketball at Iowa State.
