Brooke Henderson Opening Round Interview at 2018 CP Women's Open Golf

Canadian golfer Brooke Henderson is currently competing at the CP Women’s Open. She fired six birdies over seven holes at one point en route to a 6-under-par 66 that left her two shots off the first-round lead.

Mariajo Uribe, Ariya Jutanugarn, and Nasa Hataoka are all on 64 while three-time CP Women’s Open champ (twice as an amateur) Lydia Ko, Minjee Lee and several others are at 66 with Brooke.

“It was really solid today. I got off to a little bit of a shaky start with a bogey on the first hole, but I made a ton of birdies today and that’s always a really good sign.”

Henderson said after the first round.

In an interview after the first round, Henderson said that she was amazed by the crowd and the support she received. She is hopeful that she will have a better game.

Henderson was happy with the first round game as she never had a better start in the tournament before.

"I think that's really huge for me. I have never really played well in the first round of CP Women's Open. It's definitely a good momentum."

She hadn't expected that support for the people and is excited to get back into the good form in coming days.
