Brady Skjei Bio and Early Life

Brady Skjei was born on March 26, 1994, in Lakeville, Minnesota, the U.S. to parents Scott Skjei and Michele Skjei. As per his nationality, he is American and belongs to the White ethnic group. 

Skjei played for the Lakeville North Panthers for two seasons of high school hockey in Minnesota. He was named Rookie of the Year in his first season with the team, and in his second he was named the Most Valuable Player of the team. 

Brady Skjei Professional Career

The New York Rangers selected Skjei in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft's first round. On April 1, 2015, Skjei signed an agreement with the New York Rangers. In a playoff game of the Calder Cup against the Providence Bruins on April 26, 2015, Skjei scored his first professional goal and a point.

Skjei scored his first goal in the NHL against the New Jersey Devils on December 11, 2016. He scored his first playoff career goal against the Montreal Canadiens on April 16, 2017. 

Returning for his 2017-18 sophomore season, Skjei played a larger role, coupled with Kevin Shattenkirk, a newly signed New York native. Later, Skjei signed a six-year deal with the Rangers on July 28, 2018, after his second season.

Currently, his name appears in the roster of Rangers along with star center player Ryan Strome, Neal Pionk and many more.
