Legend High School To  Arizona Wildcats To MLB

Enrolled at  Legend High School in Parker, Colorado, Balbec played for the school's baseball team as a shortstop and a pitcher. Because of his commitment to attend the University of Arizona, he was not selected in the MLB draft.

During his freshman season, he participated in NCAA's home run derby. After that season, he played collegiate summer baseball for the Orleans Firebirds of the Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL) and played in the league's All-Star Home Run Hitting Contest.

During his sophomore season, he hit .319/.410/.601 with 15 home runs in 213 at-bats. During his junior years, he struggled a lot and began to improve his play later in the season. The Wildcats made the 2016 College World Series.

In the 2016 MLB Draft, the Boston Red Sox picked Dalbec in the fourth round. He made his professional debut with the Class A Short Season Lowell Spinners. In 2017, he played for the Greenville Drive of the Class A South Atlantic League.

 Dalbec began the 2019 season with Portland and was later promoted to the Pawtucket Red Sox of the Triple-A International League. 

Following the season, the Red Sox named Dalbec to their 40-man roster. On 30th August 2020, he made his MLB debut against the Washington Nationals.
