Billy Horschel was born to Billy Horschel Sr. and Kathy Horschel. He went to Bayside High School in neighboring Palm Bay. His first love was baseball but later he showed his interest in the game of golf. He also played golf during high school. Later on, he grabbed an athletic scholarship from the University of Florida, Gainesville and he played for coach Buddy Alexander’s Florida Gators men’s golf team in National College Athletic Association (NCAA).

He played from 2006 to 2009. While playing in Florida, he has honored with many rewards due to his fabulous performance. He received his degree in sports management from the University of Florida. He also represented the United States at the Palmer Cup in 2007 and 2008.

Professional Career of Billy Horschel

He started his professional career in 2009.  Unfortunately, he was injured in 2010 and it was the toughest time of his career. However, he was a fighter and after fighting with the injury, he returned and made the cut at the Mayaboka Golf Classic.

Later on, in 2013, he got a professional win at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans and he emerged as a champion of the U.S. Open. Following that, he also won the titles of the PGA Championship, The Open Championship, and The Master's Tournament.
