In the year 2015, Gibson made his U-21 national team debut for England in “2015 UEFA European U-21 Championship qualification play-offs” against Croatia. His first goal for the national team came against Belarus in the England’s final friendly.
On 24th March 2017, Gibson joined England national team, replacing Chris Smalling who was injured at the time of the “2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier” against Lithuania.
